American’s Outdated West was tamed by rugged visionaries who crossed the fruited plains in covered wagons, carrying with them every little thing they owned, and rolling absent in lookup of new horizons. These pioneers – fiercely unbiased and wildly innovative – carved out a life style even now evident in American right now…

As our vast melting pot of a region evolved, so did the lined wagon. Huge wagon wheels and stretched bestial skins gave way to steel belted tires and aluminum siding. Several of these mobile homes at some point rolled up to their wanted horizons, and communities formulated, dotting the landscape. People grew out of these communities. Right up until these days, million of People in america count by themselves amoung a proud and pick group known as trailer park dwellers.

A single of these proud People in america is songwriter and humorist Antsy McClain. Developing up in a little Kentucky trailer park called Pine Look at Heights, McClain had what he calls “a memorable and idyllic childhood,” filled with colourful characters and extraordinary activities. Existence in Pine See Heights has given McClain a wealth of knowledge from which to draw – and create. Penning the lyrics and msic to 7 Trailer Park Troubadour albums, as nicely as hello very own, critically-acclaimed solo record, “Time-Sweetened Lies,” McClain is rapidly turning into 1 of the most respected songwriters in Americana/Roots music today.

McClain grew up hearing all variations of music in Pine View Heights. Antsy (whose provided name was Ronnie Joe – the nickname “Antsy” being pronounced on him by a junior high college couch) devoured every single type of new music he could find. He listened to everything from Statement Monroe to Aretha Franklin, from Steely Dan to George Jones, right up until sooner or later, he was more baffled than most of his peers, who listened strictly to 70′s business pop radio. This confusion shaped the basis for his songwriting, and explains the virtually schizophrenic nature of his recording tasks. Late nights listening to various radio plans like The Grand Ol’ Opry and Dr. Demento further cemented his exclusive outlook towards new music and amusement.
Anty’s 5-piece band, The Trailer Park Troubadours are a expert assortment of musicians who play in the rootsy, rock and roll tradition of their hard-functioning, blue collar forefathers. McClain calls the new music “folkabilly,” and their dwell shows are a exclusive, critically-acclaimed mix of masterful musicianship and self-deprecating humor for all ages. The Troubs, as they are known as by fans, are committed to using their distinctive blend of music close to the world, displaying up wherever they are invited – and then some.
