@1dducks Ok, I will.
@publicatdamagnificen Google: Allied Barton Lawsuit. See what comes up!
@1dducks “Busy gatehouse”….Oh yeah, I worked at a site called Hunter’s Ridge in Michigan, and a car would come up to the gate, on average every 1.5 minutes or so. Not to mention the phone ringing off the hook, exiting drivers asking questions while entering motorists are asking questions, while a dunbass, unhelpful field supervisor is talking to you- rather than helping out- So yes, I’ve experienced busy gatehouses also. Lmao!!
@1dducks People who talk like you wouldn’t have the aptitude to think, ponder nor read (unless your boss told you to read something for the job).
At Allied: No raises, site specific pay. Health insurance which is a joke. If you make it a year expect to cash out your vacation and work continuously. Expect to do training on your own time. Essentially you are a heartbeat in polyester making them money. Turnover is astronomical even in this economy. So sad how many boyscouts they have running around who’ve been with the company 5+ years making $9.00 and loving it.
@troi53142 You get bonuses?
@RRViper800TT It will come around. They are going for the short term gain. Which will most def end up in long term loss.
@fordtruckman1997 Ever tried working a busy gatehouse? Yeah
@Haseeb2 Not every job allows you to read and “ponder the world”. You actually have to do work.
@atlsexyness perfect for the lazy and unmotivated.
@publicatdamagnificen Obviously that was just to get you in the office. They are rated as one of the Top 100 Companies for Training. Funny thing is they have me do the MSO and other trainings online and on my own time. Training was really pathetic. Oh and corfram shoes are required but they aren’t issued to you here. They’ll get away with it until the economy improves and then they’ll be left with the 65+ crowd and non-fluent english speakers. Glassdoor d ot com tells all
@1dducks YOU TOO? I got a voice message from Lonka (Denver Office), saying, and I quote:”Mr Smith, I have a post for you, it’s $12hr, Downtown, Monday through Fridays- you’ll just love it”. I went the next day for the interview, and this cunt….You heard me: This cunt said, and I quote: All we have is part-time work at $9 hr, and you’ll have to attend a training class from 7a- 5p without pay”. I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT SHIT! My friend at Colorado Labor Dept told me “that’s illegal”
Allied Barton worst company to work for or hire as Security. I wouldn’t recommend those bums to no one. Low pay, bad benefits, decitful, controlling, etc.. 6 years with them and their no good. Save yourself people from I LIED BARTON!
I worked for AB for over 6 years…numerous posts and wages…when they lost the last account I was working at they just let every security guard go but one who was officer of the year. Go figure! And most of their guards now are TRUCK GATE guards…horrible to work at in the winter time!
Worst security company ever. I was promised a perm position at hire but designated as a “floater”. It sucks. You might as well sleep in your uniform since they will have you work all hours. Benefits are a joke. They promote friends first. I was sent to a site unarmed in a section8 community (which they lied to me about) by myself with no radio. $10/hr is a typical wage here to get yourself killed. You are a warm body with a heartbeat to them. Nothing more.
don’t work for this company,it’s a big waste of time they will screw you at the end.i worked for allied 11 months, was set up by shift supervisor fired by allied barton.companies like allied don’t support good people only bad,don’t believe the lies they tell you are better than contract security.
I worked for them for 2 years and 2 months. Got fired but I was going to quit in 2.5 months anyway. If they call you a floater say no way and quit. A floater is a guard who goes to multiple posts. They used to call in the middle of the night, 2 or 3 AM and ask if I would fill in for a absent guard. The uniforms are cheap and I was not allowed to use my own black pants. The ghetto rats they hire would argue and fight with there coworkers. I was posted in a ghetto parking lot for a few weeks.
If you are a security guard, you should take advantage of all of that idle time you have. Write a book, read, study and pursue hobbies which you would not be able to do if you didn’t have a job like this. Security guards should be among the smartest people , because they have all of the time in the world to read, study and ponder on the world around them. But unfortunately, most of them allow themselves to go brain dead.
@atlsexyness dude can u please let me know away that i can work for this company
Wow…so many negative comments abt Allied. I’ve worked for them and it’s cake work. You do nothing and make more than McDonalds would pay you. I wouldn’t suggest making it a career, but it’s not a bad means to an end temporarily.
As a current S/O I say this is a great job while pursueing other interests.. I work as a gurad and go to school F/T no problem at all! Where else do you get paid to pick your nose and walk around occasionally?
